What is our most popular application?

It is clear from the "Applications" section, that plastic piling use is quite generic, and clearly related to that of cold form trench sheeting, retaining walls, coastal defence, erosion control, and flood defences.

That stated, at APE we have focused on products that install well and a realistic length, something quite new for plastic piling.  As a result, we tend to get involved in projects that require quite long lengths to be driven, as the combination of MultiLock and our internal mandrels, means that this combination drives the fastest out of our entire range.  Therefore to date, I would say around 70% of our projects have been flood defence or cut-off wall related.

What we are noticing is that as plastic piling becomes easier to drive we are seeing a big increase in the use of our products for retaining walls, particularly at the rear or properies that back onto a watercourse.  These can either be a defence against further erosion, or a means by which the client is supporting reclaimed land, previously lost by water erosion.

MultiLock and ProLock are providing particularly of interest, since when used as a hybrid with tubes or timbers, many clients find it very easy to install themselves.

If you have a specific application or wonder if plastic piling is suitable add to this entry, and we can discuss your options for using plastic piling.
